We all need to acknowledge and work to earn the trust of our audiences. The challenge for most of us is that a large portion of communication we receive about a topic we are familiar with is misleading, confusing, or flat-out wrong. We may not have the resources to thoroughly research the topic. We may not be experts on the topic. But, we all have the ability to be informed. By paying attention, we can make much better decisions and influence those who are invested in the topic.
Influence is king. In the modern world, it is critical that we are well-informed and understand issues before we can engage with our audiences. By using the right type of communication, we can inform, engage, and influence decision making on the topics that are important to us.
